Alyssa Milano, 53, Reveals the Hollywood Secret for Erasing the “Menopause Mustache”

The Moment Everything Changed

During my monthly facial appointment (a splurge I justified as ‘self-care’), I finally broke down and asked Maria, my esthetician of 8 years, why my skin looked so... old.

What she revealed next left me speechless.

“After menopause, hormonal changes make facial hair more noticeable and your skin's natural exfoliation process slows down dramatically,” she explained. “Dead skin cells pile up, peach fuzz grows more visible, and together they're aging you more than wrinkles ever could.”

“So what's the solution?” I asked desperately.

She smiled knowingly. “There's a treatment called dermaplaning. It removes all that peach fuzz and dead skin in one session. It's what all my celebrity clients do before big events.”

I immediately booked the treatment. At $175, it wasn't cheap, but I was desperate.

The results were nothing short of miraculous. My skin looked instantly smoother, brighter, and yes – years younger. My makeup applied flawlessly. Even my expensive serums seemed to work better.

For the first time in years, I felt confident about my appearance.

There was just one problem.

The Shocking Price Tag

When I asked how often I should return for this miracle treatment, Maria's answer shocked me.

“For best results? Every 3-4 weeks.”

A quick calculation made my heart sink. At $175 per session, I was looking at spending over $2,100 a year – and that was just for the basic treatment. Add in transportation costs, tips, and the “upgraded” versions Maria kept suggesting, and I was facing well over $5,000 annually just to keep that peach fuzz at bay.

As much as I loved the results, there was no way I could justify that expense long-term. Not with retirement looming and my daughter's college tuition to consider.

I was devastated. After experiencing how much younger I could look, going back to my fuzzy, dull complexion felt impossible. But what choice did I have?

The Discovery That Changed Everything

Three weeks later, I came across an interview with Alyssa Milano — yes, that Alyssa Milano — and I stopped cold.

She was 53 and talking openly about what no one warns you about: “In my mid-40s, things started changing fast, especially around menopause. I noticed more peach fuzz, uneven texture, my makeup just sitting differently — you know, all the fun things that happen when estrogen decides to take a vacation.”

She was describing my exact experience.

Alyssa explained she had tried everything — “every serum, every treatment, every spa facial” — until her makeup artist finally introduced her to one device she now uses weekly. She called it “the Hollywood secret”: the Sonicsmooth Pro+ by Michael Todd Beauty.

What hit me hardest was what she said next. At 53, Alyssa wasn't chasing a younger face. “I'm not trying to look 25,” she said. “It's about just removing the barrier so my skin can glow the way it's supposed to.”

That was exactly what I needed to hear.

I started researching the Sonicsmooth Pro+ that night. At first glance, it looked like yet another beauty gadget. But as I dug deeper, I realized this wasn't just another facial razor. This was true sonic dermaplaning technology – the exact same professional-grade treatment I'd paid $175 for, but engineered for safe, effective home use.

The device used patented sonic technology that delivered over 15,000 gentle vibrations per minute to effectively remove peach fuzz and dead skin cells without irritation. Even more impressive were the safety features – a patented safety cage that prevented cuts and medical-grade single-use tips that ensured hygienic, professional results every time.

Still skeptical, I dug deeper. The company had been founded by the same man who created SCÜNCI (the hair accessories brand I'd used for decades), and their devices had won multiple beauty awards.

But what finally convinced me were the reviews from women my age:

The best part? The complete system is valued at $198 – less than many single dermaplaning sessions. Today, you can get Sonicsmooth Pro+ for $119, plus a free Hair Identifier Spray.

I placed my order immediately.

The Transformation Was Immediate

Within days, the compliments started pouring in.

My husband, who rarely notices anything about my appearance, asked if I'd “done something different” because I looked “really nice.” My daughter wanted to know what new makeup I was using. Even my skeptical sister demanded to know my secret.

But the most surprising benefit came when I applied my usual serums and moisturizers. Without that barrier of dead skin and peach fuzz, my skincare products could finally penetrate deeply – delivering nutrients where they were needed most. Products I'd almost given up on suddenly delivered visible results.

Six months later, I've saved over $1,050 on dermaplaning appointments. By year's end, I'll have saved over $2,000. And over five years? A staggering $10,000+ for what amounts to the exact same treatment.

Why This Works When Nothing Else Does

The Sonicsmooth Pro+ addresses the two hidden factors that make menopausal women look older than they are:

1. The “menopause mustache” and peach fuzz: After 50, hormonal changes make facial hair more visible. This catches light at all the wrong angles, emphasizes every imperfection, and creates a dull, aged appearance no amount of makeup can hide.

2. Dead skin buildup: As we age, our skin's natural exfoliation process slows down dramatically. This creates a barrier that prevents skincare products from penetrating and gives skin a lackluster, tired appearance.

Unlike ineffective solutions that only address part of the problem, the Sonicsmooth Pro+ tackles both issues simultaneously:

• Basic facial razors: These manual tools lack the sonic technology that makes dermaplaning truly effective. They often tug at skin, miss areas, and can't provide the deep exfoliation that mature skin needs.
• Chemical exfoliants: While helpful for some skin concerns, these harsh products often irritate sensitive menopausal skin and don't address the peach fuzz issue at all.
• Expensive creams: No matter how premium your skincare, it can't penetrate effectively through layers of dead skin and peach fuzz.

What sets the Sonicsmooth Pro+ apart is its true sonic technology – the same professional-grade approach used in high-end spas, but engineered for safe home use with its patented safety features and medical-grade tips.

The Most Common Concerns (That Turned Out to Be Myths)

When I first considered the Sonicsmooth Pro+, I had concerns. Maybe you do too:

“Will my hair grow back thicker or darker?” Absolutely not. This is a persistent myth that's been scientifically debunked. The Sonicsmooth Pro+ removes hair at the surface level without affecting the follicle, so hair returns exactly as it was before. I've been using it for 6 months, and my hair hasn't changed at all.

“Is it safe for sensitive, menopausal skin?” Yes! The patented safety cage and single-use tips ensure gentle treatment without nicks or irritation. The sonic technology means no pulling or dragging on delicate skin. I have rosacea-prone skin, and I've never experienced any irritation.

“Will it work for deeper wrinkles?” While no topical treatment can completely eliminate deep wrinkles, the Sonicsmooth Pro+ has significantly reduced the appearance of my fine lines and made my deeper wrinkles less noticeable. By removing the surface issues that emphasize wrinkles (dead skin and peach fuzz), your skin instantly looks smoother and more youthful.
